Why soft washing beats pressure washing on siding
Pressure washing siding forces water behind the panels, where it can cause rot and interior leaks. Soft washing cleans the surface with chemistry, not force — no water driven behind the siding, no scratched vinyl, no stripped paint.
Algae, mold & mildew removal
The green and black streaks on siding, roofs, and shaded walls are living organisms. Soft washing kills them at the root with a sodium-hypochlorite-based solution, so they do not come right back the next humid season.
Roof soft washing
Asphalt shingles are the single surface you should never pressure wash — it strips the granules and voids the warranty. We soft wash roofs to kill the black streaks (gloeocapsa magma) and moss with zero pressure on the shingles.
Stucco, brick & painted surfaces
Stucco and painted surfaces pit and peel under high pressure. Soft washing cleans them thoroughly without etching the finish — and it reaches the pores and hairline cracks a pressure wash cannot.
How long a soft wash lasts
Because we kill the growth at the source, a soft-washed surface typically stays clean for 2–3 years — far longer than a pressure wash, which leaves the roots behind to regrow within months.
